   What is SEO? SEO means Search Engine Optimizing but, if someone tells you they are an SEO what does that mean you may ask *my reply is that it means nothing!*. To put it simple I reply that anyone whom knows a fraction of what they are doing on websites and *metatags, keywords are things bots pick up for search bots* meta tags or key words and html codes to be found on searches is what you can call an SEO. I get emails asking to sell me search engine listings online when my sites are listed higher than theirs and I do not have to pay to do it. I put my sites high in searches by hard work and making sure the content of my website matches the listings in Searches. I have been doing websites and web design myself since the start of the internet. I have taught myself how to make websites, how to make websites, how to make money online with websites & how to list websites in searches. Popular websites take time and hard work but, if you put work and time into pages you can make a popular website and list it yourself for free in search engines. Major Searches online or most popular search words are not always what google and other search sites would tell you. SEO websites that tell you the most searched words and most searched phrases have in fact all been full of information that is not useful to my websites or any others. This is what I have found to be true over years of work and experience in web design and search engine listing. Though I have many websites each website has different pages that may show up as index pages. I have some websites with several pages on that site which show up as an index page. This means if you search google or search bing or any search engines you will see more than one page of my website show up under search words and searched phrases.

   Some people think if you list many pages as an index page it will boost your searches and make the search bots find you more however, this is not always true. You may be in fact cheating yourself out of hits and search words that you may have listed well with in the searches. When google searches a website they try to find the search words and phrases that most fit the website. With sites like mine they have many different things to do and read online. This is why I list some sections of the website as their own on my zolaenterprises.com site. If you notice it is News, Videos, Music, Stores, Webcams, Chats, Art and much more. To list under all those words in search engines would be more harmful to my site than it would help search listings in the search engines. You have to pick the best words and phrases for you site but, remember when google says FREE STUFF is a popular search phrase in fact google means Free and then the word Stuff are both popular search words there for meaning that the actual phrase Free Stuff may not even be searched by many people. Also keep in mind in other countries that do not speak English they will probably not be on google.com or bing.com so much to search but, instead use their own searches and words in their languages. To become popular in searches and with websites is only part of what you have to do to have famous sites or popular website pages. You also have to find you nitch and market it.

  If you are good at skating you may want to start a skate website to show skating videos, post google ads and maybe even sell skates. To just be found under skating videos is not always enough for a skate website. 1 example of a skating website that hits all areas of skating would be www.skaterinks.com Also some skate videos and heeling videos are even found on art sites like www.facepaint.ws which has face painting, body painting, poetry, cat photos and cool art as well as skating videos all created by Hilary Leigh. Yes that is me grin.

   Art websites to sell art should also be linked to some of your fun art pages and photos or photo galleries if you are an artist and wish to be listed under art or art searches such as www.weirdartists.com and www.buyart.ws as you may notice they are linked together to help the other found until the search engines pick up that I also own those sites. My popular websites are like most in ways of searches or search engine listings. I get my pages found under any and everything I can think of then I watch to see what the most popular search words and most searched phrases are online. When I find a search listing that is popular online then I try to keep it and add more words and phrases that will get my website seen. Every halloween I play with search words on facepaint.ws and that site went from about 40,000 people visiting in 1 day to about 80,000 people visiting in one day. That 1 day of course was halloween. Most people do not search face paintings and body painting or face and bodypaint so much as they do art, cats, videos, games and fun stuff like that. I added free games and game links to my site as well as my actual paintings. My site became much more popular due to people being able to find it. Once people find your website if it is fun and cool pages and clean website's they will tell others. Example of a game page or game website with free games that is only wanting to list under games free is MSNS.INFO *Not msn or msns pages but msns as in my searched net stuff of games. Free games online not msn or bing and bing searches or games on bing. Nothing to do with bing and msn there.

   Websites like youtube, bing, facebook, yahoo, hi5, msn, myspace and other popular websites have always done best by word of mouth and people linking into their sites to show friends and tell others. That is really how sites get popular. Sites get seen by people that may help you make a popular site by your listing websites in searches. I would say do not have a search engine company or seo company list for you if their search site is not getting at least 100,000 people a day to visit it. I mean visits not hits of course. I do not count hits on my site for I get millions of hits a day on my face painting site from people stealing photos and things to show on their site. The hits are nothing but, people that visit and return to your site is what will make a popular site. Goegle.us is my least popular site since I do not try hard to list in searches under things I find not so cool grin. Information, Maps, news, weather, google, bing or bing searches and search websites are not so popular except with SEO or seos and seo wanna be's as well as website designers and web workers.
